Summoner Wars Tournament

One more tournament to add to the list!  Dave will be hosting a full-bore Summoner Wars tournament.  He’ll have all 16 factions available to be drawn randomly.  You’ll keep your faction through 4 single-elimination rounds of play until a final winner is crowned.

Dave will also be kind enough to teach the game before the tournament, so even if you don’t know how to play, that shouldn’t stop you from participating.

Huzzah!

Custom dice are back!

Last year, I kept a special secret in the MYSTERY GRAB BAGS:  each one came with a pair of custom dice.  I kept this information to myself, only telling a couple friends who weren’t even coming to the convention.  They were good looking shiny red and black swirled dice with gold ink, and given the positive response to them, I knew I had to bring them back this year.

So even though it takes a little bit of mystery out of the MYSTERY GRAB BAGS, I’m happy to say that the custom dice are coming back this year!  They won’t look exactly the same, but they do look good, and I think you’ll love using them.

BUT, the only way to get a MYSTERY GRAB BAG is by pre-registering.  Not only do you get the bag, but you get cheaper admission,  a custom name badge, earlier access on Friday, early sign up for tournaments and events, and the security of knowing that you’ll be able to get into the convention.  So get registered and make sure you don’t miss out.

More tournaments

In addition to the Dominion tournament, I’ve received confirmation of a few more:

Days of Wonder will be sponsoring a Small World tournament.  Right now, I’m looking at a three round structure, but details are still being worked out, but it is happening.

In the same e-mail, they said they were into also doing a Memoir ’44 tournament.  So look for that to be on the schedule soon.

Lastly, we’re going to run a Munchkin tournament.  It’ll also be 3 or 4 rounds, but with a different Munchkin set in each one.  Final round will be a MASSIVE set of fantasy Munchkin containing every expansion, booster pack, and all the promos I could muster.  This game filled up my boxes of holding, so look for a pretty intense fight!
