Game Groups
One of the main reasons I wanted to start Board Game Bash was to get people from all around town to come together to play. I know that there are lots of gaming groups, but they’re generally insular just by habit. I know we’ve got some awesome folks down south, and I’d love to meet the awesome folks up north and from all around. So I’d like for this to be a nice centralized place to list your group. If you’re part of, or if you know of, any Austin gaming groups, then send an e-mail with their information, and they’ll get listed here.
Austin Area Puzzle and Treasure Hunters
If you’re a fan of puzzle hunts and solving quandaries with knowledge and skill, then check out Austin Area Puzzle and Treasure Hunters. They get together on Meetup at meetup.com/Austin-Area-Puzzle-and-Treasure-Hunters, and are looking to get more puzzle hunts in Austin.
Austin Geeks and Gamers
Did you know there’s more out there than board games? It’s true. There’s a whole world of science fiction, video games, fantasy, role playing, comics and other things that are likely relevant to your interests. Austin Geeks and Gamers is a meetup that games, but also celebrates other aspects of nerdom. You can find them on Meetup at meetup.com/AustinGeeksandGamers/ and join them for TV viewing parties, nights out at the movies, board gaming, conventions (like Board Game Bash!), and all sorts of other fun stuff.

Central Texas Boardgames Meetup
You can find Central Texas Boardgames on Meetup at meetup.com/Central-Texas-Boardgames. They meet several times a week at different locations around town.
Central Texas Historical Wargamers
CTHW meets frequently at Great Hall Games, but they also arrange other games individually. You can join their Yahoo! mailing list at central_texas_historical_wargamers@yahoogroups.com, and also like them on Facebook.
Girl Geeks of Austin Mondays, 7 PM, Black Star Co-Op Pub on N. Lamar & Airport
The Girl Geeks of Austin arrange events on Meetup at meetup.com/girl-geeks-of-austin.
Kyle Game Group
When you’re even further south than south Austin, then this group will probably be for you. There are no regular meetings, but they arrange their games through a mailing list. Join the list via their Google Group at groups.google.com/group/kyle-game-group.
South Austin Game Night Tuesdays, 6-11 PM & Sundays 2-10 PM, Rockin’ Tomato on S. Lamar

Hi Jonathon, I am moving from Chicago to Georgetown, know any game groups that are North of Austin? Like Round rock or Georgetown?
Check out Central Texas Boardgamers on Meetup. They play all over town, including up north. I know that Rogue’s Gallery in Round Rock runs a weekly game night, too. I’m sure there’s more, so if you find any others, let me know! I like to hear about other game groups or game nights.
